Why do I need location tracking on?
iOS:
Proxy does not track your location nor store your location information. Location information is used only to set a geofence around your reader location. When crossing this geofence, it will wake up the app when you arrive at a Proxy-enabled building or workspace – that way you don’t have to open the app every time you want to use it, and it’s automatically activated when you’re in the building which saves battery life.
Android:
Proxy does not track your location nor store your location information. However, Location is required to use Bluetooth on Android phones so it must be enabled in order for Proxy to operate.
How do I know whether or not I have access to a door?
If you are within the vicinity of the Bluetooth being emitted from the reader (a few feet), you can look at your Proxy Access Card and the door should appear at the bottom of the card confirming that you have access, or you can view a list of doors you have access to by clicking to expand the card.
What should I see after I log in?
If you have been granted access, you will see your virtual access card(s), known as Proxy Access Cards. If you do not see any cards then you should contact your Proxy administrator.
What happens if I don’t get the verification code?
First, check your spam inbox - it’s likely in there. If not, note that email providers have different settings so it may take up to a couple of minutes to arrive. If, after a couple of minutes, you still have not received an email, please send a request to your Proxy administrator.
If I have a physical card, will it continue to work?
Your existing physical card will most likely continue to work, but please confirm with your Proxy administrator.
What do I need to use Proxy?
Install the Proxy ID app on your iOS or Android and sign up for an account using the email address that you were invited with. Your building or space administrator needs to add you to the access list.
