Using the Proxy ID app: FAQ

What phones do you support?

The Proxy ID app works on all modern iOS and Android phones. You need an iPhone running iOS 13, or an Android phone with operating system 6.0 or newer. Your phone must also support Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth 4.0).

Do I need to pair my phone?

No, Bluetooth Low Energy works differently than Classic Bluetooth and does not require you to pair your phone.

How secure is my information?

Can I log in with the same account on multiple phones?

Yes, you can use the same account with the Proxy app on multiple phones.

Can I install the Proxy ID app on multiple phones?

Yes. You will have to go through the verification process for each device.

Can I log in with multiple accounts into the app?

This feature is not available today but it is something we are working on. Stay tuned!

How often does Proxy push updates to the app store?

We are constantly making improvements to the Proxy ID app so updates are made in real-time as new features and fixes are delivered, rather than on a scheduled cadence.

How can I update my Proxy ID app?

iOS:

1. Open the App Store and then Click on “Updates” in the bottom menu.

2. Scroll until you see the Proxy ID app, then click “Update”.

3. To turn on automatic updates, visit Apple Support for instructions.

Android:

1. Open Google Play and tap the menu button.

2. Tap on the “Updates” tab.

3. Scroll until you see the Proxy ID app, then tab “Update”.

4. To turn on automatic updates, visit Google Play Help for instructions.
