What is the difference in functionality between the Mobile Reader Pro and the Mobile Reader Edge?
Mobile Reader Pro serves as a badge reader and mobile access reader and can integrate with any controller that supports Wiegand/OSDP. The Mobile Reader Edge is mobile access only and is a self-contained controller, managed through the Proxy Dashboard.

Does the Mobile Reader Edge need a separate control unit?
The Mobile Reader Edge does not require a separate control unit. It can be fully controlled by the Proxy Dashboard.
My client wants to remote unlock or set a schedule for the Mobile Reader Edge. How do we do that?
A separate control unit will be needed. You can connect the Mobile Reader Edge to the REX input of the controller or use the Reader Pro as a typical Wiegand input.
How are the Proxy Mobile Edge Readers powered?
Mobile Reader Edge is powered through the same power source as the electrified locking hardware. In certain cases, an additional power supply is needed when additional hardware is being used, such as an intercom system.
