To perform a reboot or factory reset, you will need to use the Proxy Device Manager app and be near the reader.
iOS PDM
1. Sign into the PDM app with your Proxy Admin email account that you use for the Proxy Dashboard.
2. When near the reader, click on it as it displays in the Devices Nearby screen.
3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
4. Click Reboot to initiate Proxy reader reboot. This is a useful function when having difficulties with a software/firmware update.
5. Click Reset to Factory Firmware or Reset to Factory Software as needed.

How to Reboot a Proxy Reader
- Open the Proxy Device Manager app.
- Find the reader that needs to be rebooted. You can do this by selecting the card of the Org that the reader belongs to.
- Select the reader you want to reboot.
- Select "Reader Settings".
- Under ‘Reader Configuration', select "Reboot Reader".
- Tap "OK" on the prompt.
How to Factory Reset a Proxy Reader
- Open the Proxy Device Manager app.
- Find the Reader that you want to factory reset. You can do this by selecting the card of the Org that the reader belongs to.
- Select the reader you want to factory reset.
- Select "Reader Settings".
- Under ‘Factory Settings', select "Reset to Factory Software" and select "Reset to Factory Firmware".
- Tap "OK" on the prompt.
