To change the name of a Proxy reader via the Proxy Device Manager (PDM) app, you need to have your phone close enough to the reader for both devices to interact with each other.

iOS PDM

1. Sign into the PDM app with your Proxy Admin email account that you use for the Proxy Dashboard.

2. When near the reader, click on it as it displays in the Devices Nearby screen.

3. Click on the reader name to begin your edit.

4. Confirm by clicking the red Save button underneath.

Android PDM

1. Sign into the PDM app with your Proxy Admin email account that you use for the Proxy Dashboard.

2. Find the reader the you want to rename. You can do this by selecting the card of the Org that the reader belongs to.

3. Click on the reader you want to rename in the "Door Nearby" section.

4. Select "Reader Settings".

5. In the "Reader / Door Name" section, tap the current reader name.

6. Rename the reader and confirm by clicking the "Update" button.
