In order to select an access mode for a Proxy reader:
1. Select the site the reader belongs in.
2. Click on the "Readers" menu.
3. Select and click on the reader whose access mode you wish to change.
4. Scroll down to the "Phone credential settings" and click the "Edit" button on the right hand side.
There are three ways in which to unlock your door:
1. Tap In Mode. Tap your phone close to the reader like a key card or fob. There is no need to interact with the app to unlock the door - the app does not need to be open and the phone does not need to be active. However, your phone needs to be powered on and have Bluetooth enabled. The Tap In Mode also allows Proxy ID app users to benefit from the Express Mode feature of the app, which configures users' phone settings to allow for hands free access.
2. Hands Free Mode. The Mobile Reader will automatically detect the presence of the Proxy ID app on your phone as you approach the door and unlock the door. There is no need to interact with the app to unlock the door, the app does not need to be open, and the phone does not need to be active. However, your phone needs to be powered on and Bluetooth enabled. The Hands Free Mode also allows Proxy ID app users to benefit from the Express Mode feature of the app, which configures users' phone settings to allow for hands free access.
3. Biometric Mode (phone unlock is required). Unlock your phone using your biometrics and then open the Proxy ID app and manually press the “unlock” button to trigger the unlock command.
