Express Mode is a feature that enables you to access a Proxy reader without having to unlock your phone. If enabled, you can just hold your locked phone to a Proxy reader and it will unlock, provided you have relevant permissions and your organization allows this unlock mode. 

• Please note that the Proxy ID app must be running in the background. If you at any point swipe the app off of the phone screen, you will disable it and your phone won't be able to communicate with Proxy readers. 
• Please also note that to deepen security, your organization may have chosen to require that an unlocked phone is tapped in to a Proxy reader in order for access to be granted. In this situation, even if you have Express Mode enabled, you will need to unlock your phone to comply with your organization's secure access requirements.

Express Mode on iPhones

1. Navigate to your Proxy app profile settings by tapping on your profile picture in the top left corner of the screen.

2. Click the Express Mode tab.

3. In the next screen, click the Allow Location button, which will launch your iPhone's pop-up settings.

4. In the pop-up box, select either of the options that allows access.

5. Once done, click the Go to Settings button at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to your iPhone's settings.

6. In your iPhone's settings, click the Location tab.

7. In the next screen, click the Always tab.

8. Navigate back to the Proxy ID app. You will find that your Express Mode has been enabled.

Express Mode on Android

1. Navigate to your Proxy app profile settings by tapping on your profile picture in the top left corner of the screen.

2. Click Express Mode tab.

3. In the next screen, click the Always Allow Location button. This will take you to your Android phone's system settings.

4. In your Android settings page to which you have been navigated, select Permissions.

5. In the next screen, select Location.

6. In the next screen, select Allow all the time.

7. You can now return to the Proxy app.

8. In the Proxy app you will now find that your Express Mode has been enabled. If you tap on the Express Mode tab, you will find that location permissions status.
